Common Uses for Florajen3
Prevent Antibiotic-associated Diarrhea
Take 1-3 capsules daily during the course of the antibiotic and for
at least 14 days after the last dose. Separate the Florajen3 probiotic
from the antibiotic dose by at least 1 to 2 hours for optimal effects.
If needed, resume once-daily therapy for a total of 2 to 4 weeks after
antibiotic therapy is completed.
Treat Antibiotic-associated Yeast Infections
Take 1 capsule once daily during the course of the antibiotic and
for at least 14 days after the last dose. Separate the Florajen3
probiotic from the antibiotic dose by at least 1 to 2 hours for optimal
effects. If needed, may increase to 1 capsule twice daily until yeast
infection symptoms are under control, then resume once-daily therapy
for a total of 2 to 4 weeks after antibiotic therapy is completed.
Treat Yeast Infections and Persistent Yeast Infections
Take 1 capsule twice daily for 2-4 weeks or longer as needed to
resolve stubborn yeast infections. Take Florajen3 when using
prescriptions such as Diflucan, Terazol, etc. Use Florajen3 along with
antifungal prescriptions to help build up the protective bacteria that
helps to deter future infections.
Prevention of Traveler's Diarrhea
Take 1 capsule daily. Begin 3 -5 days before departure and continue
during trip and for 2 weeks after returning home. If loose stools
occur, may increase to 1 capsule twice daily until resolved.
Help Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Take 1 capsule once daily as a maintenance regimen. During
flare-ups and exacerbations, may increase to 1 capsule twice daily if
needed for 2-4 weeks or as long as needed. Patients who are also on
Asacol, Lomotil, and other medications intended to moderate the
digestive tract may benefit as well.
Prevent Bloating or Poor Digestion
Take 1 capsule daily for 1 to 2 months. Many patients benefit from
adding a probiotic to their regimen. When the balance of good
protective bacteria that is natural to the digestive tract becomes
depleted, patients may experience a feeling of poor digestion,
