Redline Speaks at Nebraska Nurse Practitioner's Conference

Tim Redline, PharmD of Redline Pharmacy presented “Compounded Medications as a Pharmacologic Option” at the Nebraska Nurse Practitioners’ Annual Pharmacology Conference. His ninety minute presentation from the  University of Nebraska at Kearney was telecast across the state to more than 150 nurse practitioners at locations in Scottsbluff, Norfolk, Lincoln and Omaha.

“I was honored to be asked to speak at such an important conference. These conferences are used to help nurse practitioners keep up on the latest treatment options and compounded medications offer many unique alternatives for their patients” said Redline.

Dr. Redline has also presented this year to the Central Nebraska Dietetic Association in Grand Island and at the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants annual continuing education conference in Kearney.

Redline Pharmacy is the only specialty compounding and home infusion pharmacy in the tri-city area. Compounding involves customizing medications that are not commercially available for unique patient needs.

Redline Pharmacy Offers Free Provider Continuing Education Program

Redline Pharmacy is proud to cosponsor a CME event at the Quality Inn Conference Center (former I-80 Holiday Inn) on Tuesday, June 15th from 6-9PM. Jim Paoletti, RPh, Director of Provider Education at ZRT Laboratories

will be presenting "Clinical Evidence and Application of Bioidentical Hormone Restoration."  This event is open to physicians, nurses, PA's and APRN's interested in learning how bioidentical hormones can improve the lives of women suffering from perimenopause or menopausal symptoms.

A dinner buffet will be served from 6-6:30PM and the program will be from 6:30-9PM. Providers and nurses will receive 2.5 hours of CME credit.

Tim Redline, PharmD recently presented "Compounded Options for Pain Management" at the 2010 Nebraska Academy of Physician's Assistants annual CME conference in Kearney, Nebraska on April 15th. He reviewed the role of the compounding pharmacist in pain management, discussed the use of transdermal gels for treating pain and gave specific examples of compounded solutions for various pain syndromes including:

• Arthritis and musculoskeletal pain
• Miigraine headaches
• Cancer and hospice pain
• Neuropathic pain
• Sports injuries
