07 Feb Do You Use Testosterone?
As part of our service for men receiving compounded topical testosterone, we follow up with those receiving these prescriptions to ensure compliance with treatment as well as necessary laboratory monitoring.
Maintaining proper testosterone levels is important for therapeutic effect and to ensure patients are receiving the lowest effective dose. Compliance with lab appointments will ensure that levels are checked regularly and adjustments are made as well as timely identification of potential side effects such as elevated hematocrit.
Our follow up protocol includes phone calls to the patient at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and every year following start of therapy. These calls ask about symptom relief and side effects. Patients are also reminded to get CBC, PSA and Testosterone levels drawn at 3, 6 and 12 months.
If you take testosterone, we can provide cost-effective testosterone replacement treatments and offer follow up and support to make sure you are getting the most out of your therapy. Contact us for more information.
