01 Oct “I Reached My Ideal Body Weight and BMI”
‘“As we get older, weight management is of much more concern to our overall wellbeing. Being a nurse, I understand the ramifications of weight management on overall health status. I hit that age when peri-menopause reared its ugly head. With my hormones going crazy, the weight started creeping up, which in turn made the hormone issue worse, and made the weight gain worse. It was a vicious cycle. We worked to manage the hormone levels and things started getting better, except the weight gain. I had managed to lose about 20 pounds on my own, but it took a year, and I didn’t feel like I was really maintaining a loss and certainly had not reached a healthy weight for my build. I had been looking at Ideal Protein for about a year and recommended to my husband that we do it together. I knew I would be much more likely to be successful if we did it together.
We started this journey in February, and we have been way more successful than I imagined we could be, and we did it in less than 6 months. We were much more successful than we had been while trying to do it on our own last year. My hormones have settled down, I have had steady weight loss and have reach my ideal body weight and BMI. While I haven’t rechecked my labs yet, I know they are going to be much better. I have lost over 15% body fat and 20% of my overall weight. I am eating healthier and in turn eating less because I fill up on the healthy foods that nourish my body. I feel better overall, I have more energy and less aches and pains that come with aging and a more sedentary life.
