Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) & Mental Health

Treating Mental Health with Low Dose Naltrexone

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is being used in a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD and autism. LDN is thought to work by increasing dopamine signaling and raising your natural endorphin levels. (Endorphins are your natural “feel good” brain chemicals).

Treatments for these conditions include antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications which can come with side effects. Some of these treatments are only partly effective.

Low dose naltrexone (LDN) can be a good, low cost and low risk option for your mental health condition and can also be used together with other medications (with your doctor’s approval). Below is a sampling of studies on LDN and its use in a variety of mental health conditions.

If you are interested in learning more about LDN for chronic pain, check out one of our webinars (link to webinars) or Contact Us to learn more.

If you would like to get started with LDN, talk to your health care provider or complete our LDN History Form and we will work with your provider to get you started.
