
26 Sep “My Cholesterol Dropped from 230 to 157”
“Prior to starting the Ideal Protein program, I had tried several weight loss diets that were not effective over the long term for me. While I did take some weight off, there was no education or plan to go with it to help with the maintenance of the weight loss and the pounds would return over time. When my wife showed me this program, I must say I was a little hesitant to try it at first, but the more we looked into it, the more sense it made to us. At the end of January, we started the program and as the weight came off, I was even able to lower my target weight to a point that originally I did not think I could reach. I have been very pleased with the weight loss and the results speak for themselves.
I started at a little over 260 lbs and have been able to lose almost 40 lbs. I have been able to move my Body Mass Index and Body Fat % into the normal range. I had taken my basic labs back in January before starting the program and then had them drawn again prior to taking a vacation in late April. My cholesterol dropped from 230 in January to 157, my LDL went from 148 to 90, and my fasting blood glucose dropped from 112 to 87.
Courtney has done a great job as our coach explaining the Ideal Protein program and following up with us to make sure we stay on track. She is a great resource if we have any questions. The meal ideas have been wonderful and trying the different recipes has made the program even more enjoyable.
