16 Apr “My Doctor Was Impressed”
“At a doctor visit in September 2018 I learned my cholesterol ratio was 5.5 and my HDL (good cholesterol) was 40. My doctor was not impressed and was concerned. I could either get in shape, hopefully helping my cholesterol levels or I would be put on medication. I elected to try fixing it on my own and asked him to give me six months, if things hadn’t improved I would start medication.
I’d heard of the Ideal Protein but didn’t know a lot about it so I asked the doctor what he knew. He said it was a very good program and if followed I would succeed. He had seen success for many others and thought I would be a perfect candidate. Challenge accepted! My wife and I decided to begin the program.
The initial consult with Courtney made us feel comfortable about the journey we were undertaking. I was very inquisitive and had to understand what was happening and how it worked. I’m sure I asked over 100 questions that first week and Courtney happily answered all of them. Each following week, we attended check/weigh-ins and were amazed with our results.
I’ve had people ask if the program is expensive. I tell them that it is a learning process that you pay for and includes some food. It is not a gimmick. If followed correctly, this program comes to an end where as cholesterol pills and doctors visits are not free and continue forever. If I can fix the issue by getting smarter, it’s not expensive at all!
I am down 60 pounds and 10 inches around my waist. My cholesterol ratio dropped to 3.7 and my HDL dramatically increased to 69. Needless to say, my doctor was impressed.
I have been on the maintenance phase for 8 weeks and have not gained any weight back. I eat smarter now, not less. As a wrestler, I knew how to cut weight the wrong way which was not sustainable. IP is sustainable.
If anyone is considering doing Ideal Protein, they need to give it a shot. It’s the best investment I’ve made in awhile.” -J.R. Pulver
