In 2021, over 106,000 people died from prescription drug overdose.
April 22, 2023 is Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This nationally recognized day was first recognized in 2010 in an effort to make our communities safer and healthier by taking unused prescription medication and properly disposing of it.
Since recognizing this national take-back day, the Drug Enforcement Agency has collected 8,318 tons of unused medication.
We encourage you to start your spring cleaning by going through your medicine cabinet. Bring us any expired or unused medication to prevent any prescription accidents in your home in the future.
