In July of 2016; I started the IP program with Courtney as my IP coach.  At the time I weighed 360 pounds, I could not bend over and touch my toes and I was on medication for blood pressure and Diabetes.  I had been diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic but had really not done anything to help with that condition.  My doctor had been telling me for a few years I needed to lose weight so finally after many failed attempts on my own I started the program.

Courtney was a great resource as I started the program.  She was available by email, set me up for the IP daily learning videos and had a lot of valuable information to help me through the phase one protocol.  After the first week; I really started to feel better and the weekly follow up and structure of the program and the learning about the protocol kept me going.  I learned to accept ‘slow’ weight loss weeks and not become discouraged and the videos and weekly check ins kept me on task.

After 25 weeks on the IP protocol, I had hit my weight goals and weighed in at 221 pounds.  I recently went for another check up at the doctor and soon will be off of my blood pressure and diabetic medicines, I am able to work out and be active with my kids  easier than I was before and I have new found energy to do a lot more day to day living in my life.

People often comment about how ‘good I look’ but to me that was never the reason I went on the IP protocol.  I went on IP to improve my health and quality of life; I realize how much better I feel and how my health has improved.  My doctor is amazed at the changes in my numbers and said statistically, I have reduced my danger of heart attack by 70% by losing the weight.  I have moved into phase 2, 3 and now the maintenance phase and Courtney continues to support me as I change my eating habits that caused me to become over weight.  IP does not just stop after you lose the weight, they help you forward from that point for as long as you need it.
