30 Jun Xema-Top Can Help Psoriasis
A case study was conducted with a 33-year-old Caucasian male who has had plaque psoriasis since age 19. His condition mostly consisted of small plaque type psoriasis lesions scattered over 75% of his body, but the largest and worst lesions were on his back.
This patient had tried several topical and oral manufactured treatments in the past. He stopped this treatment three weeks prior to initiating a new Xema-Top topical compounded formula.
The success of the compounding treatment was evaluated using two validated research instruments, the Psoriasis Symptom Inventory (PSI) and an adapted Numeric Rating Scale (NRS).
At the start of the study, the patient classified the redness and flaking of his psoriasis lesions as very severe, whereas itching and scaling were classified as severe. Redness, flaking, and scaling are the most noticeable physical symptoms of psoriasis and the ones most likely to negatively impact a person’s well-being. All other psoriasis-specific symptoms (e.g., burning, stinging, cracking, pain) were classified as moderate.
Following three weeks of twice-daily application of the Xema-Top topical compounded formula, this patient reported significant improvement of his psoriasis condition.
